Race Information:

The race will be held on Labor Day morning, Monday September 2, 2013 at 9:30am. The race will begin on Mill Street adjacent to Naperville North High School and end on the Eagle Street Bridge next to the Naperville Municipal Center.

No Dogs or strollers allowed in the race.

 
     

 

Course:

The course is mostly downhill and fast as if follows most of the parade route through downtown Naperville.

Registration:

Online Registration – Pre-register online at www.active.com. Online registration fee $15.00. Online registration closes at 11:59pm, Wednesday, August 28, 2013.

Pre-Register by Mail – Download the registration form and send you check for $15 (post marked by August 26, 2013) to Naperville Jaycees Fling Mile, P.O. Box 2372, Naperville IL 60567-2372.

Race Day Registration – Race day registration fee: $20. Registration will be held on the day of the race from 8:00 – 9:00am in the Naperville North Parking Lot.

T-shirts and Race Packet Pick-Up:

The first 250 registered runners will receive a Fling Mile t-shirt. To guarantee a t-shirt, we encourage you to pre-register. Race packet pick-up will be available the day of the race from 8:00 – 9:00am. In addition, pre-event packet pick-up will be available. Individuals who pre-register will be e-mailed details on packet pick-up closer to the event.

Awards:

Top 3 overall male and female runners and the top male and female masters will receive a cash prize. Age group winners will be awarded in the following categories: 6 & under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 & older. Overall male and female winners are removed from age categories.

Race Day Parking:

Parking available near the start of the race at Naperville North High School and near the finish at Naperville Central High School and the Naperville Municipal Center. It is recommended that you park near the finish, as the parade will begin immediately following the race.

 

The Naperville Jaycees is a non-profit service organization with more than 200 young persons dedicated to personal development through community service. The group organizes and staffs The Last Fling in close cooperation with the City of Naperville, the Naperville Park District, numerous Naperville community organizations and hundreds of volunteers. Proceeds from the Last Fling are given to nonprofit organizations in the community and throughout DuPage County. Over the past two decades, the Naperville Jaycees raised and donated more than one million dollars to various organizations in the Naperville community.
