PERCUSSION PETTING ZOO
Back
for another year at Family Funland is Steve Gyrb and his interactive
PERCUSSION PETTING ZOO. A Percussion Petting Zoo is a hands-on activity
that introduces the young at heart to percussion instruments while
setting possible pathways for future musicians. By allowing everyone to
see, touch, hear, and play the instruments, they learn they are an
integral part of the creation of musical sounds and become familiar with
how sound is produced. This is a great way to spark a child's
creativity and open the door to the world of music and its' many
benefits. Steve is known as the "Pied Piper of Percussion" and his "Petting Zoo" contains hundreds of exotic percussion instruments,
including tambourines, fruit and vegetable shakers, colorful maracas,
inflatable bongos, hand drums, hand cymbals and many others. Steve
offers a unique hands-on experience focusing on kid interaction throughout the weekend. If you would like to know more about this exhibit, please go to http://www.grybmusic.com/percussion/Percussion.html.
